The Pharrell x adidas NMD Hu “Orange” is another monochromatic colorway of the Virgina native’s trail-inspired signature shoe to release in 2021. Where early iterations of the NMD Hu became known for loud, colorful designs, versions of the shoe released by adidas since January 2021 have featured monochromatic colorways, a refreshing shift in design that progresses the popular lifestyle shoe. The “Orange” features an orange Primeknit construction with orange speckled rope laces held in place by a tonal supportive TPU caging structure that is anchored by midsole inserts. The “ULUNTU” branding on the top of the foot appears in a slightly lighter shade of orange than the aforementioned woven upper. Dual Pharrell and adidas branding can be found on the heel. Adidas paints the Boost cushioned midsole orange to complete the monochromatic orange look of this summer-ready NMD Hu. Release date: June 12, 2021.
